[IROS-23] Great time at IROS-24 in Detroit. Some fun with Rafael and our paper on Shared Autonomy Control for Slosh-Free Teleoperation.  Also, many thanks to Luka, Wansoo, Heni, Arash and Eiichi for inviting me to a talk at the 6th Ergonomic Physical Human-Robot Collaboration:Harnessing Advancements in Robot Learning.

[Event] Great experience hosting and organizing the 16th International Workshop on Human-Friendly Robotics at Munich, Germany with great people and friends, Cristina, Patricia, Manuel and Hinrich. Great papers and talks, including from my students and collaborators, Ainoor, Junnan, Amartya and Mazin.   

Big news! I am starting a lecturership position at the University of Nottingham, UK! 
Looking forward to the new challenges and building a great lab!  

[Award] Congrats to my student Rafael I. Cabral Muchacho for getting the best student paper award at the Geriatronics Summit!  And congrats to my collaborator Eva Theresa Jahn and Yuhe Gong, my student to be, for the tied 3rd place!

[DEMO] Exciting times at the Automatica Munich_i 2023. In addition to supporting several demos of the  Geriatronics team, my research group w/ Rafael I. Cabral Muchacho and Riddhiman Laha had a super fun demo: Interacting with Spill-Free Robots, where we challenged people to break our demo (Result: 8-hours of continuous run per 4 days, hundred to thousand users from kids to roboticists and no break! [IROS-23] Our Papers on Shared Autonomy Control for Slosh-free Teleoperation has been accepted for presentation at IROS-23!  

[ICRA-23] Excited about output of our workshop on Geometric Representations: The Roles of Screw Theory, Lie Algebra & Geometric Algebra. At the peak, we had more than 110 people attending! Congrats to Julen U., Niklas Wilhelm Funk ,Jan Peters , Georgia Chalvatzaki for the best paper!  Check it out (link).

[AWARD] We were awarded the Best Interactive Paper Award Finalist at the IEEE-RAS Humanoids-22. Paper: Integrated Bi-Manual Motion Generation & Control shaped for Probabilistic Movement Primitives

[AWARD] Benjamin Bogenberger, who recently finished his Bachelor thesis advised by I and Riddhiman Laha have received the  VDE Bayer Award: Best Bachelor Thesis (link)

[IROS-22] Very happy to say that we had 4 papers accepted for IROS + 1 RAL for presentation. It is going to be a busy IROS. 

[DEMO] Exciting times at the Automatica Munich_i. Together with the Geriatronics team and my research group, we presented a total of 5 demos at Automatica-22.

[AWARD] I have received the ICRA-23 Outstanding Reviewer Award from the Conference Editorial Board

[DEMOS] We have now 2 demos running continuously at the headquarters of MIRMI in GBR. 

[RAICAM - MSCA] Our Marie-Curie Doctoral Network proposal (MSCA-DN/Horizon) has been accepted. The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence for Critical Asset Monitoring (RAICAM) project will start in 2022!
